AUDREY TEKO
Bio
Audrey Teko (*1990) develops a practice combining painting, sculpture, and photography, closely linked to her research in sociology. Since 2020, her work has focused on the question of grief—particularly in contexts of violence—conceived as a space of relation with the dead. She approaches artistic creation as a form of ritual, where works become sites in which the deceased continue to exist.
At sissi club, she is developing a new series of oil paintings on canvas, extending the theoretical and artistic research initiated during her studies.
Her work thus operates at the intersection of scientific inquiry and sensitive restitution. A graduate of ENSAPC (Cergy) in 2025 and holder of a PhD in sociology, she is currently conducting postdoctoral research in Marseille on juvenile justice. Her artistic practice is currently developing.
