Initially conceived as a non-profit initiative, sissi club developed in close connection with its Marseille context, supporting emerging artists through exhibitions and collaborative formats. The structure is now organised around three poles: a gallery, a curatorial space, and artist studios.

The gallery represents artists from the emerging French and international scene — most of them from their very first solo exhibitions — whose plural practices share a common commitment to questioning norms of representation and power relations, from situated political perspectives.
The curatorial space is dedicated to research and production, where works can develop outside the immediate logics of the market.
The artist studios extend these dynamics by fostering shared working environments between artists, curators, and gallerists, and by following practices beyond exhibition contexts.

Through these activities, sissi club more broadly interrogates the economic structures of the art world, which are central to the project and contribute to its definition.
