INÈS DI FOLCO JEMNI
Bio

In her work, Inès di Folco Jemni explores notions of exile and motherhood, and highlights myths and ritual practices from around the world. The works invoke past lives, calling upon ancestors and spirits to be revived, combining care and gentleness in a ceremonial manner. Through figurative and abstract techniques, playing on the disappearance or accumulation of forms, the works reveal ectoplasmic presences. Through her representations and references, Inès di Folco Jemni offers new narratives—personal or historical—that lie outside the hegemonic Western gaze.
Born in 1993 in Paris, Inès Di Folco Jemni (lives and works in Paris) is a Franco-Tunisian artist. She graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2018. She is the winner of the Prix Sitel at Jeune Création and the Prix Because of Many Suns at the Art-O-Rama fair in 2022, and of the Monde Nouveaux grant in 2023.
Her recent solo and group exhibitions include: Art Basel (2026, 2025); Nicoletti, London (2026); Crèvecœur, Paris (2025); Liste, Basel (2025); Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2024); Frac Ile-de-France, Paris (2024); Magasins Généraux, Pantin (2024); Paris Internationale, Paris (2024); sissi club, Marseille (2024, 2020); Deli Gallery, Mexico City (2024); Laurel Gitlen, New York (2023); Art-o-rama, Marseille (2022), Friche Belle-de-Mai, Marseille (2022), Frac Lorraine, Metz (2020).
